day 1
Cotopaxi National Park
After a stop to acclimatize with coca tea, you’ll have several options for your visit:
Trekking around Limpiopungo Lagoon at 3,800 m (12,470 ft).
Trekking to the José Ribas Refuge from the parking lot, ascending from 4,500 m (14,770 ft) to 4,864 m (15,960 ft).
A bicycle ride across the Volcanic Valley or a downhill ride from the refuge parking lot.
After leaving the National Park and having lunch, we head towards the Andean Western Cordillera to conclude the first day with a view of the Grand Canyon of the Toachi River.
There are two lodging options: staying on the crater of Quilotoa at 3,800 m (12,470 ft) with the best view of the lagoon, or in the town of Chugchilán at 3,200 m (10,500 ft) for better acclimatization, where you’ll also have the chance to go horseback riding through the cloud forest early in the morning.

Quilotoa Community
In the morning, you have free time in the Quilotoa community, where you can explore lookouts, restaurants, cafés, and the Artisan Market. Or, if you prefer, you can trek down to the lagoon.
In the afternoon, we head to Baños de Agua Santa, where you’ll have free time in the city! Don’t miss its hot springs, a “Chiva” ride, or a relaxing stroll through its charming streets.
day 3
Baños City
For adrenaline seekers, Baños offers a variety of extreme sports. You can book activities like paragliding, rafting, bungee jumping, canyoning, or hiking in advance.
In the afternoon, we’ll explore the famous Route of the Waterfalls, which includes a cable car ride over the Pastaza River, a visit to the Manto de la Novia waterfall viewpoint, and a trek to the Pailón del Diablo (Devil’s Cauldron) waterfall.
After lunch, Drop off in Quito, Airport , or nearby cities.
